Well, it has been a really long while since I last wrote a note here, almost a quarter of a year. There must be so many stories. Ah, indeed, so many things have happened. It makes me dizzy and confused, almost to the point of feeling lost.
Many setbacks have come, and it seems not just in career and in life. Haha, it’s kind of bitter to say it like this now. However, it’s not too bad. There is no better way to make a restless person recognize reality and become down-to-earth than through all-around setbacks. Unfortunately, this is what I’ve been through, and I don’t want to hide it or fake it. And I guess it is probably hard to pretend, like Apollo tied Marsyas to a pine tree and skinned him alive, right? Hard not to show the pain, because the skin is gone. Haha, bad metaphor.
The authenticity of life largely stems from its bitterness. I thought I had tasted enough, but it seems life will relentlessly serve it in the same way until one day I give a totally different response or answer. Well, the storm was hard, but it has just passed. Well, not sure yet, but being optimistic is not a bad thing. What does a landscape of ruins bring to people? Surprisingly, it brings hope and courage. This is my world; what I see is what I get, and what I feel is everything. Oddly enough, I have such energy and attitude, hmm, very fun. I can’t even tell if it’s true, but I was actually sad; now I’m excited with a little anxiety, to be honest, and probably even slightly in a terrible mood. But this is life, the sour juice part. You know the taste of lemon: first comes the sour, then bitter, then numb, then kind of sweet. Also a terrible metaphor, but it’s my expression, or my current state.
I hope we all have the mighty courage to rise up and go back to facing hard things or situations. If not, that’s still fine. The world keeps turning, at least we are alive, I mean, alive at least for this moment. Haha, it’s midnight. Bye-bye, and good night.
